Database Analyst
The Association of the United States Army is seeking an experienced Database Analyst. The position will fulfill an integral role with implementing and supporting a new Association Management System (AMS). The right candidate will work in a team environment with a Sr. DBA, Systems and Networking Administrators. This is an excellent opportunity to be a part of implementing a new AMS. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assisting with the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of AUSA's Microsoft SQL databases and applications
- o Applications include Personify AMS, Microsoft Dynamics GP and Microsoft SharePoint
- Creating and modifying queries and reports utilizing Data Analyzer and Crystal Reports
- Assisting with database and application upgrades and routine maintenance
- Requirement gathering and analysis from users
- Assisting with user acceptance testing and implementing new database functionality
- User deskside training and support of database applications
- Maintaining data integrity
- Maintaining routine backups of databases
- o Assist with maintaining disaster recovery plan
- Creating and maintaining documentation and standard operating procedures
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in information systems or computer science or sufficient experience
- 3 to 5 years of extensive knowledge and abilities with Microsoft SQL and/or other relational databases within an association or nonprofit organization
- Hands-on, technical experience with Association Management Systems like Personify, TIMSS, netFORUM, iMIS, etc. (preferably Personify or TIMSS)
- Experience with the following technologies,
- o Microsoft Windows Server 2003/2008
- o Microsoft SQL Server 2005/2008
- o Microsoft Reporting Services
- o Business Objects Crystal Reports
- o Microsoft Visual Studio 2005/2008
- Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills
- Strong communication, written and verbal
